Lordling of Hearts Announcement!

Greetings everyone! As you might already know, I am working on a new erotic text RPG, Lordling of Hearts!!

One strange day, you wake up in the body of Genevave Draakenburcht van de Hogentoren, the greatest fool of a lordling who ever lived. Your spymaster has usurped your throne, the people despise you for Genevave’s actions, your house seeks to finish their botched assassination attempt, and worst of all, Genevave’s mind is in your head with you, and refuses to shut up. Either you will get the subjects of the Draakenburcht on your side, or you will suffer a painful end. Capture their hearts, or die trying.

This game will play a lot like Rogschard, but with more modern polish. With Lordling of Hearts, I am hoping to add a lot of the requested features that were impossible to add to Rogschard due to the engine limitations and technical debt. I will also be trimming some of the unneeded fat. That mostly means rolling the three combat systems into one map-based system. I will also add more options for player responses in regular dialogue, to allow for more interactivity in conversations, which will replace the former text-puzzle fights.

There will be a lot more art/portraits in this game, almost all of them animated. Npc’s will have expressions and nude sprites, and pregnancy will be displayed on the player portrait (once it is in). The map in Lordling of Hearts is fully rendered, and a lot of the combat info will be displayed on there. This means there will be a lot less halting of the flow of the gameplay with text popups. Other fancy features are still being worked on in the background. I will tell you about them once they are closer to completion.

News Rogschard

Rogschard is Story Complete!

A public build of Rogschard v1.0.0.x has been released! I wanna thank everyone for these two years of support, it has been a wild ride! I put out the prototype of this strange, strange beast of a game after about a month of work, and even though it was missing almost every type of interaction to make it fun, people seemed to resonate with it. Over time, items, combat, maps, inventory systems, levels, player avatars, and countless other systems have been added, making it quite the strange chimera. In retrospect, the game could have benefited from some more planning from the start, or any planning in general, but ah well, you live and you learn. I hope you enjoyed coming on this strange adventure with me, it has been a blast.

After this release, I ain’t disappearing down the well just yet. There will be post game content made, but that will be coming out on a when-it-is-done basis.
