Lore

Drainflies are short, moth-like flies, and can be found in the dwellings of other species humanoids (often uninvited as a pest). Drainflies preferred nesting sites are the inside of walls, basements, and empty attics, where they eat away at the trash, debris, insulation and occasionally the wiring. They birth mostly females and a comparatively small number of males. The species consists mostly of loners, who do not bond with partners, and instead will reproduce with anything that happens to be around when the mood strikes.

  • Body type: Short, two transparent wings, they have an abdomen segment sticking out of their behinds.
  • Gender distribution: 10% male / 90% female. Females raise their nests of offspring alone, and are serviced by a relatively small population of males who can not keep up with the demand for their seed.
  • Relation to sex: Reproductive, Pleasure, Eggs. Females lay a clutch of eggs about once a week, preferably inside another host's reproductive system (or other ducts)
  • Relation types common: Non-bonding. Drainflies do not take long term partners, but sometimes form a mutually beneficial bond with their house masters
  • Reproductive bits: Penis, vagina, ovipositor
  • Reproduction method: Sex, lays eggs
  • Desirability as partner (culturally): Undesirable
  • Partakes in regular society: No
